Noah Kahan invites Arlo Parks to join him for ‘Stick Season’ at Osheaga.

Noah Kahan surprised fans at Montreal's Osheaga festival on August 2 by bringing out acclaimed singer/songwriter Arlo Parks for a special headlining collaboration on his song "Stick Season," the title track from his breakout 2022 album. The two had never performed together before.

For Kahan, who hails from Strafford, Vt., about three hours away, the festival was a nostalgic moment. He reflected on Instagram Stories about his past experiences sneaking into Montreal with friends and sleeping in parking lots due to a lack of hotel availability. “This fest is extra special to me,” he wrote. “Used to bum up to Montreal with my buddies and sleep in parking lots since we couldn’t find hotels with room.”

The collaboration with Parks continues Kahan’s tradition of performing “Stick Season” with other artists, having previously shared the stage with Olivia Rodrigo, Reneé Rapp, and Kelsea Ballerini.

“Such a gift to have Arlo join us last night for ‘Stick Season,’” Kahan posted. “You sounded wonderful and I am such a fan.” Parks reciprocated on Instagram Stories, saying, “Thousands and thousands of voices carrying mine through ‘Stick Season.’ @noahkahanmusic, you’re a sweetheart.”

Kahan’s tour in support of *Stick Season* will continue across North America and internationally until late September. He is also set to participate in a tribute to the Band’s Robbie Robertson on October 17 in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Parks is preparing for U.K. festivals later this month and a series of September U.S. dates opening for Mitski.
