Cardi B files for divorce from Offset while announcing she’s expecting their third child.

NEW YORK (AP) — Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband, rapper Offset.

A representative for Cardi B confirmed the news to The Associated Press, stating, “This is not based on any one particular incident; it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”

While Cardi B did not directly address the divorce on Instagram, she shared a photo of herself on a rooftop, cradling her baby bump.

“In every ending, there is a new beginning! I’m so grateful for this season we shared,” she captioned the post. “You’ve given me more love, life, and renewed my strength. Facing life’s challenges can be easier when you’re lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Cardi B and Offset, whose real names are Belcalis Almanzar and Kiari Cephus, have two children together: 6-year-old daughter Kulture and 2-year-old son Wave.

The hip-hop power couple, known for Offset’s work with Migos and his solo career, were secretly married on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta, revealing their engagement a month later.

Cardi B had previously filed for divorce in 2020, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”
