Turkish sharpshooter Yusuf Dikec wins silver at the Paris Olympics with minimal gear, becoming an internet sensation.

At the Paris Olympics, Turkish sharpshooter Yusuf Dikec clinched the silver medal in the air pistol team event with a hand casually tucked in his pocket, marking a historic achievement for Turkey and sparking a wave of online admiration.

Dikec, 51, eschewed the typical high-tech gear favored by most shooters, opting instead for just small yellow earplugs and regular glasses. His partner, Sevval Ilayda Tarhan, also kept things simple with one hand in her pocket, contributing to Turkey's first-ever medal in Olympic shooting.

While Serbia's Damir Mikec and Zorana Arunovic took gold and India's Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh secured bronze, Dikec's minimalist approach caught the eye of fans.

"No lens, no headphones, just vibes," Eurosport tweeted, celebrating his laid-back style. Another post highlighted his achievement: "Turkey sent a 51-year-old guy with no specialized lenses, eye cover, or ear protection and got the silver medal."

In contrast, South Korea's Kim Ye-ji also gained attention with her futuristic lenses and effortless demeanor during the 10-meter air pistol women’s event, earning the nickname "James Bond of the Olympics."
