Ryan Reynolds Reveals He Just Discovered Blake Lively's Real Last Name

Ryan Reynolds Playfully Discovers Blake Lively’s Real Last Name After Her Beauty Brand Launch

Ryan Reynolds cheekily revealed that he just learned his wife Blake Lively’s real last name after she introduced her new hair care brand, Blake Brown Beauty, on July 31. Sharing a playful jab on his Instagram Story, Reynolds joked that he had “just found out her last name is Brown.”

In reality, the brand is named after Blake’s father, Ernie Lively, who was born Ernest Brown but changed his last name after marrying Blake’s mother, Elaine Lively, in 1979.

Despite the playful banter, Reynolds is genuinely proud of Lively for her dedication to the hair care brand, which she has been developing for the past seven years. "I'm obscenely proud of this woman," the Deadpool star posted. "The result is exactly what you'd expect from a hyper-obsessive, detail-addicted, uncompromisingly quality control genius."

Blake, 36, admitted that her dedication to Blake Brown Beauty—ranging from "impressive to 'wtf took so long'"—involved meticulous, even obsessive, work on product development. The line, launching at Target on August 4, includes shampoos, hair masks, dry shampoo, and mousse, all aimed at delivering “red carpet performance” at an affordable price.

In her Instagram post, Blake reflected on her relationship with her hair, saying, “Ever since I was a kid, through adolescence, early adulthood, motherhood, work, personal life, whenever, wherever, the single most identifiable part about me has always been my hair.” She added, “Like any relationship, it’s healthiest when you take good care of each other.”

Blake expressed her pride in the final product, noting, "It was a beast to build, but I couldn’t be prouder of what we created for you."

Blake isn’t the only celebrity with a surprising family name. For more on celebrities revealing their real names, read on.
