Tom Cruise Delivers 'Epic Stunt' at Olympics Closing Ceremony

Olympics closing formalities are known for their grandeur, but this year's event had an extra layer of excitement with the addition of Tom Cruise.

Earlier this week, rumors rised  that the iconic actor and stuntman would be performing an "epic stunt" as part of the closing ceremony, and those reports proved correct.

During the ceremony at Paris' Stade de France, Cruise, 62, descended down from the stadium's roof, landing among the Olympians with his usual talent. This live stunt was followed by a pre-recorded video showing Cruise skydiving onto the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, a nod to the city as the hostess of the 2028 Olympics.

As part of the tradition, it was expected that someone constituting Los Angeles would participate in the passing of the Olympic flag. The formalities included a surprise aspects by Simone Biles, who helped hand over the flag from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. In a cinematic twist, Cruise was seen in the pre-filmed succession, riding a motorcycle before executing a breathtaking skydiving stunt over Los Angeles, symbolizing the handover and setting the stage for the next Games.
