Leicester Square Stabbing Suspect Handcuffed After Alleged Attack on Girl and Her Mother

Dramatic footage has surfaced showing the moment a man was arrested on intuition of a double stabbing in Leicester Square this morning.



An 11-year-old girl and a 34-year-old woman were both stabbed and rushed to the hospital following the dreadful  incident outside a teashop in the busy tourist area. The doubt, reportedly seen in the area before the attack, was apprehended by a security guard before police arrived.

The London Metropolitan Police established the arrest of a 32-year-old man at the scene. Eyewitness videos show a man in dark clothing being handcuffed by officers on the bustling street. One witness, Abu Tauhid, a father of two, remembered  seeing the alleged attacker "walking around the square" earlier in the morning. He said, "I saw him pacing around the square from about 11 this morning. He was alone, eating something like a wrap. I saw the police arrest him, and then they took him away." Tauhid added that he also witnessed a security guard, later identified as Abdullah, "wrestle the suspect to the ground."

A local shop manager reported seeing the alleged attacker about 90 minutes before the stabbing, describing him as "walking around Leicester Square, talking to himself." The manager added, "He looked homeless to me. We see these people every day, but I hadn't seen him before." He reported  the man as white, skinny, and in his mid-30s.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that they answered   to the scene within four minutes and are not seeking any other guess  in connection with the attack. They added that the 11-year-old girl sustained

momentous injuries and will require further treatment, though her condition is not life-threatening.

Investigator Chief Superintendent Christina Jessah, overseeing Westminster policing, stated that the victims' family members are receiving bear. She praised the bravery of members of the public, including local business staff, who interceded during the incident, saying, "They put themselves at risk and showed the best of London in doing so." Jessah confirmed that investigators  are working urgently to piece together the events and that there is no current indication that the attack was terror-related. She urged anyone with information to come forward to assist with the inquiry.
