Liverpool and Arsenal secured victories, period of time Chelsea and Crystal Palace played out draws.

 Liverpool's new manager, Arne Slot, marked his first game at Anfield with a ordering 4-1 win over Sevilla. Having restore Jurgen Klopp, Slot's team built on previous pre-season victory against Real Betis, Arsenal, and Manchester United. Diogo Jota opened the scoring with a left-footed volley from Trent Alexander-Arnold's pass. Luis Diaz added two more goals before halftime, helped by Jota and Dominik Szoboszlai. After the break, Peque Fernandez scored for Sevilla, but Liverpool's 17-year-old replacement, Trey Nyoni, sealed the victory with a well-taken goal.

 


Liverpool also faced Las Palmas in a behind-closed-doors friendly  which ended in a goalless draw.  Darwin Nunez go back to action after Copa America & Andy Robertson also back from injury, came close to achieving when his shot hit the post.

At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's current manager, Enzo Maresca, oversaw a 1-1 draw with Inter Milan. Marcus Thuram gave Inter the lead, but Lesley Ugochukwu drew  for Chelsea in the final moments. Cole Palmer and Marc Cucurella made aspects after returning from Euro 2024, and new signing Pedro Neto was introduced to the fans at halftime.

Arsenal winded up their pre-season with a 2-0 victory over Lyon. Defenders William Saliba and Gabriel both scored with headers from Declan Rice corners in the first half. Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori, a summer signing from Bologna, made his debut in the second half, replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Crystal Palace who have seen interest in defenders Marc Guehi  and Joachim Andersen, drew 1-1 with Nantes. Jean-Charles Castelletto scored for the French  side before Daichi  Kamada equalized  for the Eagles.
